Here's another veneer experiment with mahogany veneer on the sides and maple burl veneer on top. Veneer allows the use of expensive and/or exotic wood types without their high cost and if done properly is virtually invisible to the casual observer.
The interior of this box is lighted and is lined with a black & green check pattern and green felt.
