This box features a skin of maple burl veneer on all four sides and the top. As indicated with other veneered items, veneer allows the use of expensive and/or exotic woods without their high cost. Done properly, veneering is virtually invisible to the casual observer.
Along with the veneering, this box features a new lighting scheme where all four sides of the interior are lit. It can be partiallly seen in the accompanying video.
Along with the interior lighting, this box is lined with a green & white check pattern & green felt.
