Quarter Sawn Solid White Oak Keepsake Box with LED Lighting (LB)

Quarter sawing a log allows the best properties of the wood to be seen. In the case of white oak, the grain is enhanced along with showing other aspects of the wood such as the medullary rays. I've listed a Google description of such below.

Along with the quarter sawn aspects, the top of this box is bookmatched. Bookmatching involves cutting a piece of wood where the end result is two pieces mirroring their grain patterns.

As can be seen in the accompanying video, the bookmatching results in a mirrored grain pattern somewhat resembling a fossil.

Beyond all that, the top also features an inlay of two contrasting types of wood along with LED lighting in the interior.

Google: In many hardwoods, especially oak, when wood is quarter-sawn (cut radially to the growth rings), these medullary rays are exposed, creating a shimmering, iridescent effect called ray fleck.
