Here's a solid white oak keeepsake box with a Canarywood top. North to south, white oak grows from southern Canada down to the gulf coast and east/west from the east coast to the midwest. Along with walnut, white oak is the preferred species in the manufacture of fine furniture. Canarywood on the other hand comes to us from parts south, namely Central & South America.
This little box is lined with a black & red check pattern and red felt.
